E-FTP: HEIC Extension File Type Attachment Is Not Opening Correctly In Peopletools 8.60 and Show Garbled Data In The Browser (Doc ID 2997271.1)

Symptoms

When we try to attach a HEIC Extension file in PT 8.60, It will be attached However when we try to view the file from attachment page, it opens in browser with junk data and do not show actual content.

This was working fine in PT 8.56 and older versions

 The issue can be reproduced with below steps:

  1. Navigate to PeopleTools> Utilities> Debug > PeopleTools Test Utilities
  2. Enter URL ID as:   record://PSFILE_ATTDET
  3. Try to attach a file with HEIC extension.
  4. Click on view attachment and it shows junk data in browser 

Changes

 Upgrade to PT 8.60.
