Symptoms

When performing Asset Disposal using an Asset Disposal worksheet, the specified retirement date and accounting date are not being considered for retirement. The default current date values are being used as retirement date and accounting date.

Replication steps:

  1. Asset Management > Asset Transactions > Asset Disposal > Disposal Worksheet. Retrieve an asset.
  2. Populate the field as 12/31/2023 for retirement date and accounting date. The current date is 1/4/2023. Click Submit for Disposal button.
  3. The INTFC_FIN table is populated with the retirement transaction. Notice that the accounting date and transaction date are 1/4/2023 and the RT_EFFDT is populated as 12/31/2023.
  4. Run the AMIF1000 process. (Navigation: Asset Management > Send/Receive Information > Interface Transactions > Load into AM).
  5. The Asset tables are populated and in PS_COST the accounting date, transaction date, and RT_EFFDT have the date 1/4/2023. The PS_RETIREMENT has RT_EFFDT as 1.4.2024. These values seem incorrect.
