Gift Sessions Processed Through the General Ledger Do Not Create Any Rows in AV_ACCTG_LN (Doc ID 2998849.1)

Symptoms

When running the GL Interface job AVPOST2, not all Gift sessions are having transactions created in the AV_ACCTG_LN table. 

For example, in one reported case, four gift sessions were queued and posted, and three of the sessions had the transactions created in the table as expected, but one of the sessions did not. 
 
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Contributor relations > Session Management > Process Sessions > Gl interface. 
  2. Populate the business unit, journal template and run the process.  
  3. In Process Monitor - Details > View Log/Trace - review the Log files to verify that all sessions processed without issue.
  4. Review AV_ACCTG_LN with SQL to see there are no journal lines for one or more of the sessions processed.
