Goal

During a routine review of configuration files for new upgrade to PeopleTools 8.60 version, we noticed a virusscan.xml file which appears in the appserv folder. We've seen this file on the web servers for many years but this is the first time we've seen it on the application server side.

Application Server: %PS_CONFIG_HOME/appserv/<App Server Name>
Process Scheduler: %PS_CONFIG_HOME/appserv/prcs/<Scheduler_Name>

1. Is the application server virus scan configuration new to PeopleTools 8.60?
2. What is the purpose of separating it from the web server configuration?
