'Exception in Calculate' and 'IllegalArgumentException: Multiple com.oracle.sfp.fm.efc.calculator.common.isir.IsirFormatFactory implementations found for 2024' Displays for All Students in AE_SFA_NAC_PDRM .Stdout File After Running Mass EFC Calculation (Doc ID 3001682.1)

Last updated on APRIL 17, 2024

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Financial Aid - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When attempting to calculate FM EFC's for 2024, the calculation is not happening in any instances. On the Correct 2023-2024 ISIR Records component, after Clicking 'Calc EFC', no error messages are indicated, but the calculated Primary EFC shows 0 in every case.

When running Mass EFC Calculation to process in batch, for every student calculated, the AE_SFA_NAC_PDRM .Stdout File displays messages referencing 'Exception in Calculate' and 'IllegalArgumentException: Multiple com.oracle.sfp.fm.efc.calculator.common.isir.IsirFormatFactory implementations found for 2024'.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Financial Aid > File Management > Mass SAI/EFC Calculation.
  2. Enter Aid Year 2024 and calculation type 'F' and run the process.
  3. Review the  AE_SFA_NAC_PDRM .Stdout File in Process Monitor and note the messages displaying for every student.
  4. On Financial Aid > Federal Application Data > Correct 2023-2024 ISIR records for any student in the log, note the primary EFC value shows 0.

Changes

The issue occurs after applying the fixes delivered in Patch 35043037 - 2024-2025 ISIR UPDATE: FAFSA SIMPLIFICATION, along with POC 36160089.
