Symptoms
After implementing Query Masking, many queries are not returning any results and instead displaying the message 'You have insufficient access to retrieve this data. (30,15)'.
The queries producing this message are expected to display the normal results, because the proper authorization has been given to the user(s) to see all of the masked data on the tables, and in some cases the queries are using tables that aren't even set up to mask any data.
Not all queries are affected by the issue, and for the queries that do run, any actual data masking for those queries is working as expected.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
- Navigate to Reporting Tools > Query > Query Manager.
- Retrieve an existing query or Create New Query - one that is not intended to be subject to any data masking.
- Click 'Run' tab and note that instead of the query results the page displays 'You have insufficient access to retrieve this data. (30,15)'.
