Symptoms

When FEE-HELP is being approved for Pacific Engagement Visa (PEV) holders, a warning is thrown that the student is not eligible for FEE-HELP loans. Though the warning can be ignored and proceeded to save, it will mislead the business users and become a problem.

Pacific Engagement Visa (PEV) is a new visa introduced in Australia and the PEV holders are eligible for FEE-HELP loans similar to Permanent Humanitarian Visa (PHV) holders.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Add the PEV in the Citizen/Resident Mapping setup.
  2. Create a new PEV Citizen/Resident Indicator.
  3. Update Student Citizenship to PEV Status in the Regional Bio/Demo page.
  4. Add Student to Fee Help Component and set Loan Status to approved.
  5. Note the warning when tabbing out of the field.

Changes

The PEV Visa and holders of this visa are eligible for the FEE-HELP Loan.
