On Correct ISIR Records for Aid Year 2025, Parent Tax Exempt Interest Income Incorrectly Displays for the Field on the 'Parent Spouse Partner Tab', in Addition to Correctly Displaying on the 'Parent Information' Tab (Doc ID 3007841.1)

Last updated on MARCH 19, 2024

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Financial Aid - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

After an ISIR has loaded from the staging tables to the application tables for Aid Year 2024-2025, and the ISIR record that was loaded includes an amount for parent tax exempt interest income, this amount displays in the tax exempt interest fields for both the parent and parent spouse/partner, when it should be displaying only in the field for the parent.

The data is correct on the staging table, so it is not a matter of the file data being mapped to the wrong location(s); the issue is only with the ISIR Load (FAPSAR00) putting the data in an extra field where it doesn't belong.

  1. Query the ISIR_00_2_EC table for a record with an amount populated in the SFA_FTIM_PAR_TAXEM field. On the same query, note there is no amount listed in the SFA_FTIM_OTH_TAXEM field.
  2. On Financial Aid > File Management > ISIR Import > 2024-2025 ISIR File Data, the same data can be verified on the ISIR Inbound File Data tab; on the row for the student click the link for 'ISIR Data 2', and verify the amounts display correctly in the 'Tax exempt interest' field in sections 2f and 2g.
  3. Navigate to Financial Aid > Federal Application Data > Correct ISIR Records for Aid Year 2025 and the same record/student.
  4. On the Parent Information tab, in the section for Parent Financial Information and FTI Amounts, note the value displayed for 'Tax exempt interest', which is correct.
  5. Switch to the 'Parent Spouse/Partner' tab, and in the section for 'Parent Sps/Ptr Financial Info' and FTI amounts, note the value displayed for 'Tax exempt interest', which is not correct.
  6. The data viewed on the last two pages can also be verified by querying SFA_FTIM_PAR_TAXEM and SFA_FTIM_OTH_TAXEM on the SFA_ISIR_CONT table.

The issue occurs after applying all of the available fixes related to FAFSA Simplification up through and including the 11 fixes delivered in PeopleSoft Release Patchset (PRP), Patch 36206052- INBOUND ISIR25OP MAPS VALUES TO INCORRECT RECORD.FIELD (Post-Regs2 2024-2025 PRP For FAFSA Simplification Update #1).
