Year 2023 1098T Reports Include Students That Have Not Enrolled In the Current Reporting Year, Instead of Only Currently Enrolled Students (Doc ID 3008091.1)

Symptoms

For the year 2023, 1098-T reports were created for students that have not attended the school for many years. Tuition Charges for the 2011 Academic year were posted in 2023 generating a 1098-T.

It is expected only current students will have a 1098-T generated.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Student Financials > Taxes > Generate 1098-T. 
  2. Review the results, and identify students not enrolled in the current year.
