Last updated on OCTOBER 08, 2024

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools - Version 8.60 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After applying PT 8.60.11, the type ahead functionality or auto-complete on a field throws the following java script error:

Function 'onReadyState' Error: Cannot read properties of null (reading 'querySelector')
Error Stack: TypeError: Cannot read properties of null (reading 'querySelector')

The issue can occur on multiple pages where type ahead for a field is used. The following is one of them:

1. Open the Payment Request Wizard. Navigation: Employee Self-Service > Payment Request Center.

2. Create a new payment request.

3. Enter all required fields.

4. Upload an attachment as required.

5. In the ‘Supplier ID’ field, start typing the first characters of a valid VENDOR_ID so type ahead is engaged.

6. Javascript error will pop.

Changes

Applying PT 8.60.11.
