E-CI: Getting "Cannot find Component Interface XXX", or Other Errors Using the Component Interface (CI) Java APIs From a Third Party Application (Doc ID 3010773.1)

Symptoms

Site is testing SailPoint, a third party Java application that uses the PeopleSoft (PS) Component Interface (CI) Java APIs.
The third party application is being run in a Virtual Appliance (VA). When connecting to the PeopleSoft application server, and attempting to retrieve a CI, the following error is seen in the third party application.

On the other hand, when the third party application is deployed on another machine, the connection and program run successfully.
Likewise, using the same CI "helper classes" and PeopleSoft provided "Template" test program, the connection and test program run successfully when run from a Java client outside the VA.

 

Error

(91,91) : Cannot find Component Interface {XXX} (91,2)

 

Steps to replicate:

1. Set up/deploy the third party application in the VA.
2. Test connecting to the application server and retrieving a CI, and observe the error above in the third party application.

CS 9.20
