EAP: Import Financial Sanction List Got Diacritics Corrupted on the MS SQL Server Platform (Doc ID 3012771.1)

Information in this document applies to any platform.


Financial sanction import gets diacritics corrupted.
Accented characters like ö, ü, é, à etc. are not readable in the tables.
For example, the name Köprülü (probably Turkish) is in the database Köprülü.
This issue occurs on only MS SQL Server platform.

1. Input data in the XML file
2. Put the data source XMLfile on network location
3. Log in to DEMO environment as VP1
    Navigate Banking > Financial Sanctions > Import Financial Sanction List
    Create Run Control with Import Type File and Layout OFAC, enter file path and name
4. Run process IMPORT_FILES
5. Find latest SDN_ID by below SQL
    SQL: select * from PS_SDN_HEADER where SDN_LIST_TYPE = 'OFAC'
6. Check name in the table PS_SDN_ENTRY
    SQL: select * from PS_SDN_ENTRY where SDN_ID = x
    SDN_LAST_NAME is corrupt: Köprülü
    Input is Köprülü, characters ö and ü are wrong in table.
7. Check more diacritics in the table PS_SDN_AKA_LIST
    SQL: select * from PS_SDN_AKA_LIST where SDN_ID = 4
    SDN_LAST_NAME is corrupt: ëèéäÅŽœŸÇÔìø
    Input is ëèé䊎œŸÇÔìø, all characters are wrong in table.
