ETL9.2: Premium Rules Template 100 Not Working When Reporting 24 Hours. (Doc ID 3015642.1)

Last updated on APRIL 09, 2024

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Time and Labor - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

There are 2 shift premium Template 100 rules in the Rule Program,  one for evening shift 3PM - 11PM and another for 11PM to 7AM.  When user reports 24 hours with an ending time equal to the ending time of one of these rules, the shift premium isn't generated.

If user works 7AM Mon to 7AM Tuesday, it should pay 8 hours Evening and 8 hours Night premium. However only 8 hours evening is created.

Similarly, if user works 11PM Mon to 11PM to Tuesday, then both premiums should be generated, but only the night premium is generated.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Setup HCM > Product Related > Time and Labor > Rules and Workgroups > Template Build Rules.
2  Create two Shift Premium Template 100 rules -

- for evening shift 3PM - 11PM

and

- for night shift 11PM to 7AM

3.  Setup HCM > Product Related > Time and Labor > Rules and Workgroups > Rule Program.  Add Rules to the Rule Program.

4. Enter Time tile > Enter Time.  Report Time

5.  Time and Labor > Process Time > Request Time Administration.  Run Time Administration.
