Accessibility Issue - Page Focus Lost and Tabbing Order Lost When Exiting the Page From the Dropdown/Action Menu (Doc ID 3016709.1)

Symptoms


When engaging with any dropdown (e.g. the 'Action' dropdown), the focus is lost on the page and the tabbing order resets to the 'New Window' icon. This is causing an issue for users who rely on screen reading accessibility tools as they are no longer where they initially were on the page before interacting with the 'Action' dropdown.

Replication Steps:

  1. Log into PIA.
  2. Ensure that the 'Screen Reader Mode On' is set for the Accessibility Layout (located under My Preferences).
  3. Navigate to Main Menu > Purchasing > Purchase Orders > Review PO Information > Purchase Orders.
  4. Search for Purchase Order using Business Unit = ‘US001’ and PO_ID = ‘MCS_ES3’ (or any Purchase Order works).
  5. Starting at the ‘New Window’ icon, tab through the page until you hit the ‘Actions’ dropdown. Click Enter to engage the dropdown.
  6. Click Escape to exit the dropdown.
