Symptoms
The Close Depreciation (AM_DPCLOSE) process fails at Step AM_DPCLOSE.500150.Step10C1 with "Error: ORA-00001: unique constraint (PS_LEASE_DIST1_TMP) violated" if the Lease and the underlying Asset are expired with the Expiration Date as the Commencement Date of the Lease.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create a New Lease with Commencement Date and Accounting Date = 08/01/2022
Navigation: Lease Administration > Receivables Leases > Create New Receivables Lease
2. Activate the Lease
3. Calculate the Depreciation
Navigation: Asset Management > Depreciation > Processing > Calculate Depreciation
4. Create the Accounting Entries
Navigation: Asset Management > Accounting Entries > Create Accounting Entries
5. Close the Depreciation for 2022 Period 8
Navigation: Asset Management > Accounting Entries > Close Depreciation
6. Expire the Lease and the Underlying Asset using the Expiration Date the same as the Commencement Date of the Lease (08/01/2022)
Navigation: Lease Administration > Payables Leases > Maintain Payables Lease
7. Calculate the Depreciation
8. Create the Accounting Entries
9. Run the Close Depreciation Process for 2023 Period 10
10. The process goes to No Success with the following Errors:
Message Log Errors:
Process 281872 ABENDED at Step AM_DPCLOSE.500150.Step10C1 (SQL) -- RC = 805
