Symptoms

ARO (Asset Retirement Obligation) full settlement accounting entries are not created correctly as it pushes ARO liability to loss.

 

Replication Steps:

1) Add an asset in ARO BU.(Asset Management >Asset Transactions > Owned Assets> Basic Add)

2) Navigate to (Asset Management > Asset Transactions > Asset Disposal > ARO Measurement and do an ARO adjustment.

3) Calculate Depreciation process.(Asset Management > Depreciation> Processing)

4) Create Accounting Entry process.(Asset Management > Accounting Entries > Create Accounting Entry Process)

5) Create Close depreciation process.(Asset Management > Accounting Entries > Close Depreciation process)

6) Do a full settlement for the ARO asset.(Asset Management > Asset Transactions > Asset Disposal > Retire/Reinstate asset and do a retirement)

7) Run all the processes above AMDPCALC, AMAEDIST, AMDPCLOSE
