EGL: How Does Hiding 'Mark Journals to Post' and 'Post' Options on Edit Journals Request Run Control Page Via Change in PeopleCode JRNL_EDIT_REQ.MARK_POST_OPTN RowInit Affect the Adding of 'Submit for Approval' Option? (Doc ID 3019449.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 09, 2024

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise FIN General Ledger - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Based on PeopleBooks, to approve journal entries using PeopleSoft Workflow, Mark Journal(s) to Post option must be hidden in Edit Journals Request page
by replacing the entire content of PeopleCode JRNL_EDIT_REQ.MARK_POST_OPTN RowInit with the following code:

              JRNL_POST_OPTN = "N";
              Hide (JRNL)POST)OPTN);
              MARK_POST_OPTN = "N";
              Hide (MARK_POST_OPTN);

Reference:  PeopleSoft Financials and Supply Chain Management 9.2 > Products > Financial Management Solution > PeopleSoft General Ledger > Approving Journal Entries >
                 Understanding the Journal Entry Approval Process

Does this still apply with the addition of 'Submit for Approval' option on Edit Journals Request run control page after enhancement <Bug 35602724> - ENH: JOURNAL WORKFLOW ENHANCEMENTS,
which allows user to submit the journal for approval on Edit Journal Request run control page?
