HCM: If Address Change Approval Receive Errors, Approval Status Remains as In Process and Not in Error Status (Doc ID 3020498.1)

If Address Change Approval receive errors, Approval Status remains as In Process and not in Error Status.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Log in as a PS Administrator and clone Approval Process from
the existing Process ID Address Change with current effective date.
2. Then, update the delivered User Approval list for Step 1 to a custom User Approval list (no approvers), use the delivered Details and Criteria.
And add a Step 2 with custom User Approval List (no approvers) and same Details and Criteria as Step 1.

1. Log in as an Employee
2. navigate to Employee Self Service >click Personal Details Tile > click Addresses
3. Update an Address and submit for Approval
4. Log in as an Administrator
5. Navigate to Workforce Administration > Self Service Transactions > Employee Address Change
6. search for Employee that made the Address change and click the details Icon, and notices that Approval Chain is not displayed.
7. click on link, and notice the Approval Chain displays Pending Error Step and current Transaction Status “In Approval Process”
