E-PIA: AutoComplete or Type Ahead Not Working in Search for French Language and Other Non-English Languages After Setting Up Configurable Search (Doc ID 3023872.1)

Symptoms

When logged in to the system in French language, the autocomplete does not work when searching for existing data.

This issue only occurs in French and other languages. It works as expected when using English.

 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to PeopleTools > Utilities > Manage Configurable Search.
  2. Set up Configurable Search for a component. For example: Job Data.
  3. Navigate to Workforce Administration > Job Information > Job Data.
  4. Test autocomplete for EMPLID field.

Changes

Upgrading to PeopleTools (PT) 8.60 where Configurable Search is introduced.
