E-PIA: Default Value Does Not Display On Search Fields After Setting Up Configurable Search (Doc ID 3023892.1)

Symptoms

The default value set for the search field does not display properly after setting up for the component in Configurable Search.


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. For example, add a configurable search for Vouchers. Navigation: PeopleTools > Utilities > Manage Configurable Search. Search for Component: Regular Entry.
2. Make "Find an existing value" the default and choose "Advanced".
3. Click the load fields button on the "Find an existing value" tab and note that the default column for Voucher Style shows "REG" (for regular).
4. Click the load fields button for the "Add" tab, and save the configurable search.
5. Navigate to the voucher entry component. Navigation: Accounts Payable > Vouchers > Add/Update > Regular Entry.
6. When the "find an existing value" page appears by default, notice that the voucher style is blank.

Changes

Upgrade to PT (PeopleTools) 8.60 where Configurable Search is introduced.
