'Rejects Returned By The SAI Calculator (14400,2331)' Message Displays in Every Case When Clicking 'Calc SAI' on Unofficial Row on Correct ISIR Records for Aid Year 2025; and no Reject Reasons Display on Transaction Detail
(Doc ID 3027347.1)
Last updated on JUNE 06, 2024
Applies to:
PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Financial Aid - Version 9.2 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
On the Correct ISIR Records component for Aid Year 2025, after inserting a new row then clicking the 'Calc SAI' button, the following error occurs. The errors display as pop-up messages on the page - first one followed (after clicking 'ok') by the second.
'EFC Calculator Returned exception with the request message. (14400,1856)'
'Rejects returned by the SAI Calculator. (14400,2331)'
These errors occur in every case when trying to calculate on an unofficial (newly inserted) row, whether any data elements are changed or not. If the calculation is invoked on the original official row, the error does not occur, however there is also no indication on whether the EFC actually calculated. The transaction detail tab does not list any reject reasons to indicate why the calculation rejected.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
- Navigate to Financial Aid > Federal Application Data > Correct ISIR Records and retrieve any available record for Aid Year 2025.
- Insert a row, change one or more field values, and click 'Calc SAI'.
- Note the error messages displayed on the page.
- Go to Financial Aid > Federal Application Data > Correct ISIR Records > Transaction Detail, and scroll to the section for the reject reasons and note no reject reasons are listed.
Changes
The issue occurs after applying all of the available fixes related to FAFSA Simplification up through and including the 6 fixes delivered in PeopleSoft Release Patchset (PRP) 36441731: AY2025 PELL NOT AWARDING AT EXPECTED AMOUNT - the "Post Regs 2 PRP 7" for 2024-2025 FAFSA Simplification Update #5 and FM NAC Update #4.
