New I9 Forms Are Overriding Historical I9 Forms (Doc ID 3027595.1)

Symptoms

The printed version of the I9 is being generated using the wrong form. If the employee filled out the form in 2022, the process should utilize the form that was active at that time. The printed form should correspond to the version the EMPLOYEE filled out.

The issue could be reproduced with the following steps:

  1. Employee previously submitted I9 form in 2022.
  2. Login as the same employee in 2023.
  3. View I9 form online. Navigation: Workforce Administration > Personal Information > Form I-9 > Complete/Reverify EE Form I-9.
  4. The new form as of 2023 displays.
