E-PUM: Applying PRPs to PUM Source Fails with PI_HOME on NFS Share (PeopleTools 8.61) (Doc ID 3035469.1)

Symptoms

This applies to PeopleSoft Update Images (PUM image) built on PeopleTools 8.61. To reproduce the issue:

  1. Install the VirtualBox or Native OS Linux PUM image.
  2. Install and configure Change Assistant.
  3. Mount the NFS share for <app>_PI_HOME and map it to a directory on a Windows client.
  4. Run a Change Assistant job to apply a PeopleSoft Release Patchset (PRP) to the PUM source image.
  5. The Change Assistant job fails at the step "Copying codeline to PI_HOME".
