E-PUM: Mapped Drives do not Appear in Windows File Explorer after Mapping NFS Shares on Windows 10 and Windows 11 (Doc ID 3035781.1)

Symptoms

 This applies to PeopleSoft Update Images (PUM image) built on PeopleTools 8.61. To reproduce the issue:

  1. Install the VirtualBox or Linux Native OS PUM image.
  2. Install the NFS Client on the Windows client using:  Enable-WindowsOptionalFeature -FeatureName ServicesForNFS-ClientOnly,ClientForNFS-Infrastructure -Online -NoRestart
  3. Map the NFS share to a drive on the Windows client using a command prompt window opened with Run as Administrator.
  4. From the command line run:  net use
  5. Review the output to ensure that the drive was successfully mapped.
  6. Open Windows File Explorer and select "This PC" to see all of the drives available.  The mapped drive does not appear under This PC.
