Symptoms
Two assets were loaded to AM using spreadsheet upload for Asset Additions. The assets were assigned a profile ID that was subsequently changed after the assets were added and depreciation calculation was run. At the summary level the total for includes cost of both assets twice. At the detail level (drill-down to all assets) the costs are correctly stated.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create 4 Assets with profile AUTO and amount $1000 each. (Asset Management – Asset Transactions – Owned Assets – Basic Add)
2. Run depreciation for the above 4 assets. (Asset Management – Depreciation – Processing – Calculate Depreciation)
3. Run accounting entries process for the 4 assets. (Asset Management – Accounting Entries – Create Accounting Entries)
4. Run the process to load depreciation tables. (Asset Management – Financial Reports – Load Reporting Tables – Load Depr Reporting Table)
5. Run cost depreciation summary report. (Asset Management – Financial Reports – Cost and Depreciation Summary). Report is correct for all the 4 assets.
6. Modify the profile for 2 assets to COMPUTERS. (Asset Management – Asset Transactions – Owned Assets – Basic Add)
7. Perform a cost adjustment on one of the assets with COMPUTERS profile. (Asset Management – Asset Transactions – Financial Transactions – Cost Adjust / Transfer Asset)
8. Run depreciation for the assets with COMPUTERS profile. (Asset Management – Depreciation – Processing – Calculate Depreciation)
9. Run accounting entries process for the assets with COMPUTERS profile. (Asset Management – Accounting Entries – Create Accounting Entries)
10.Run the process to load depreciation tables. (Asset Management – Financial Reports – Load Reporting Tables – Load Depr Reporting Table)
11.Run cost depreciation summary report. (Asset Management – Financial Reports – Cost and Depreciation Summary)
The summary report shows correctly of $700 for updated 2 assets with profile COMPUTERS.
The summary amount is not correct for assets with profile AUTO and it still shows $1000 for 4 assets instead of $300 for 2 assets.
The detail level report is correct.
