Symptoms

A data integrity error is not returned when an Award is Accepted by a student after an Administrator updates the Award and before the change is Posted. After Posting the Award remains at the original amount.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Financial Aid > Awards > Award Processing > Assign Awards to a Student
  2. In a different browser login as the student and go to Accept/Decline page at the same time
  3. As the staff person, reduce an award. Don’t yet click Validate
  4. At the same time, accept the same award as the student, which now would be at higher amount as compared to the reduced award amount
  5. As the staff, now click validate and Post. Notice the award has reduced $4500
  6. As the student click Submit and confirm and notice the award amount is the original amount $5500
  7. As the staff, refresh the awards page and notice that the award amount is back to original amount which is now accepted by the student
