Last updated on SEPTEMBER 02, 2024

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools - Version 8.61 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After upgrading from PeopleTools (PT) 8.59.xx to 8.61.03, a custom application engine (AE) program, which reads data from an Excel file using PeopleCode, returns the error below in the AE log file:

Caught exception: Calling Java org.apache.poi.xssf.usermodel.XSSFWorkbook.betSheetAT: More than one overload Matches.

The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:

1. Create a custom AE program that uses PeopleCode to read an XLSX Excel file.

2. Run the process from Process Scheduler's Run control page (Navigation: PeopleTools > Process Scheduler > Schedule Process Requests).

3. Open the AE log file, and observe the error shown above.

Changes

Upgraded from PT 8.59.xx to PT 8.61.
