Symptoms

Run a Query to Excel from Query Manager and then on opening the report (either directly or after saving it) users are faced with the below error message:

Excel cannot open the file '*.xlsx' because the file format or file extension is not valid. Verify that the file has not been corrupted and that the file extension matches the format of the file.

Steps To Replicate:
--------------------------

1. Navigate to "Main Menu > Reporting Tools > Query > Query Manager"
2. Access any Query and run it to Excel, either directly or via Edit -> Run -> Download to Excel
3. Query output is generated successfully
4. It displays the above error on trying to open it.

Changes

Upgrade to Tools patch 8.59.24 or 8.60.15 or 8.61.05 and above.
