Symptoms
In PeopleTools 8.59 when opening any Application Engine in Application Designer, and try to change the type of the step the system is crashing with fault at KERNELBASE.dll seen in Windows Event Viewer.
This is an allowed action and in the worst case scenario it should catch the error and prompt a message rather than just crashing the entire application
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Open Application Designer
2. Open Any Application Engine
3. Change the step type
4. Note that the system crashes.
