(Doc ID 3044959.1)
Last updated on SEPTEMBER 09, 2024
Applies to:
PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Payroll for North America - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]Information in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
An employee started contributing to QPP2 before the QPP Max was taken. This employee did work in BC for a month when CPP was collected.
The Employee's QPP yearly contribution was at 3,882$ (YMPE is set to 4,160$).
The combined QPP and CPP taken still does not equal 4,160.
The expectation was that the QPP would still take the yearly contribution until it reaches 4,160$
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Employee works for most of the year in Quebec, but moved for a month in the middle of the year to BC, so receives CPP for one month.
2. Run Pay for Quebec Employee who is close to the maximum QPP (Payroll for North America > Payroll Processing CAN > Produce Payroll > Calculate Payroll)
3. Note that QPP2 is taken instead of QPP (Payroll for North America > Payroll Processing CAN > Produce Payroll > Review Paycheque)
