Symptoms
Premium Pay Limits applying lower of pay limits verses OPM policy to be the greater.
The payroll calculation is looking at the two limit values for EX/V and GS/15/10. Since the employee's total is between these two, it uses the GS/15/10. Per OPM policy, it should have used the 6900 EX/V and should not have cut back.
The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:
1. Verify that the Pay Cap Limits are set for GS 15/10 and EX V - Set Up HRMS>Product Related>Payroll for North America>Compensation and Earnings>Pay Plan Table USF>Pay Plan Process Control
2. Configured the Salary Plan for Salary Grade EX/V. GS/15 and GS/10 - Compensation>Base Compensation>Maintain Plans>Define Salary Grades USF
3. HR Processing USF for pay rate change effective start of compensation year - Workforce Administration>Job Information>HR Processing USF
4. Create paysheets - Payroll for North America>Payroll Processing USF>Create and Load Paysheets>Create Paysheets
5. Update the Payline for REG 40 hrs @ 51.79 and OT5 24 hrs @ 51.79 for 1st week - Payroll for North America>Payroll Processing USF>Update Paysheets>By Payline
6. 2nd week for REG 40 hrs @ 51.79 and OT5 17 hrs @ 51.79
7. Run payroll calculation - Payroll for North America>Payroll Processing USF>Produce Payroll>Calculate Payroll
9. Verify the calculated pay check for first week of biweekly period - Payroll for North America>Payroll Processing USF>Produce Payroll>Review Paycheck
10. Go to Pay cutback applied - Payroll for North America>Payroll Processing USF>Produce Payroll>Review Paycheck Pay Limits
