Symptoms

Global Search returns no results, when searching on the Menu Index (PTPORTALREGISTRY).
If Security is turned off in the Search Definition, then results are returned.

The issue was reproducible in the customer site with the following steps:
1. Login with the administrator account and Navigate to PeopleTools > Search Framework > Administration > Deploy Search Objects.
2. Deploy and Build search index PTPORTALREGISTRY.
3. Logout. Log back in with the test user.
4. Search for anything in the global search - No results.

Additional Notes
If Security is turned off for the Search Definition PTPORTALREGISTRY, then the search works.
In the search configuration file (<ES_HOME>/config/elasticsearch.yml / <OS_HOME>/config/opensearch.yml), SSL settings had:
 orclssl.keystore: /.../pt/opensearch-2.3.0/keystore/keystoreName.jks
 orclssl.truststore: /.../pt/opensearch-2.3.0/keystore/keystoreName.jks
 orclssl.callback: true.
