Goal
Why does nVision layout switch to full workbook calculation showing 'CALCULATE' at the bottom?
When users run nVision reports in excel, it forces the Excel application into a full workbook calculation mode.
In the VBA editor in excel there's a property ForceFullCalculation, by default excel has this ForceFullCalculation property set to "FALSE".
The nVision layout files have the ForceFullCalculation set to FALSE, but when the report runs, this property automatically gets changed to 'TRUE' which is causing the problem.
Excel remains in this forced full calculation condition even if the nVision file is subsequently closed. The Excel session must be fully ended to reset this condition.
It forces Excel into an inefficient operational state affecting all open workbooks and when working with large scale workbooks the calculation times become very slow.
