"Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'DESCR', table 'PS_GPCH_SI_ADDTNL2'; column does not allow nulls." Error on GP_PKG_ADRIN Process When Trying to Import a Non-Rule Package (Doc ID 3053445.1)

Symptoms

After successfully define a non-rule package in one database and exported it, the below error occurs when trying to import the non-rule package in another environment by running GP_PKG_ADRIN process.

On MSS database, the error message is:

Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'DESCR', table 'PS_GPCH_SI_ADDTNL2'; column does not allow nulls.

On Oracle database, the error message is:

ORA00904: "DESCR": invalid identifier


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create Non-Rule Package
Navigation: Set Up HCM > Product Related > Global Payroll & Absence Mgmt > Elements > Manage Global Payroll Packages > Create Non-Rule Package > Package Definition
2. Export Non-Rule Package from Source
Navigation: Set Up HCM > Product Related > Global Payroll & Absence Mgmt > Elements > Manage Global Payroll Packages > Export Non-Rule Package > View Scripts
3. Import ADS Elements in Target
Navigation: Set Up HCM > Product Related > Global Payroll & Absence Mgmt > Elements > Manage Global Payroll Packages > Import Non-Rule Elements > Package Records
Click on Import ADS elements. Run the GP_PKG_ADEIN application process. The process ends in Succes.
4. Import NonRule Records in Target
Navigation: Set Up HCM > Product Related > Global Payroll & Absence Mgmt > Elements > Manage Global Payroll Packages > Import Non-Rule Elements > Package Records
Click on Import ADS elements. Run the GP_PKG_ADEIN application process. The process ends in error with above error message.
