Error '(18,4) - [Information] - Data being updated does not exist' On Add/Update a Person or Ethnicity Page When Attempting to Save Bio/Demo Data Change (Doc ID 3054020.1)

Symptoms

On the Add/Update a Person page and the Ethnicity page, when attempting to update any bio/demo data for a particular student, the following error occurs.

(18,4) - [Information] - Data being updated does not exist.
(91,37) - [Error] - Error saving Component Interface.{HCR_PERSONAL_DATA_SRV}

The issue will likely only be encountered in a small number of cases - or even a single case - and changes are able to be saved normally for most students.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Campus Community > Personal Information > Add/Update a Person.
  2. Make a change to any any bio/demo data field.
  3. Click 'Save' and note the error displayed on the page.
