EAP: How to Update Supplier Name On a Backdate? (Doc ID 3054811.1)

Goal

When trying to add a new row with back date to the Supplier Name History page, error "Effective date can not be older than today (7025,403). A new effective date entered must be greater than or equal to today." shows up. Why is backdating not allowed on the Supplier Name History page?

Steps:

  1. Go to Suppliers > Supplier Information > Add/Update > Supplier Name History
  2. Open any supplier and try to add name with an effective date in past
  3. See the Error "Effective date can not be older than today (7025,403). A new effective date entered must be greater than or equal to today."
