Last updated on OCTOBER 28, 2024

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Payroll for North America - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Premium Pay rounding as described is not compliant with OPM standards.

The functionality for other Premium Pay rounding specifically sited in the OPM requirement should follow OPM rounding guidelines by earnings code to apply the federal rounding rules sighted.

The examples for other premium pay rates would be calculated using the same rounding principles such as Availability, Market, Severance, Physicians, Non Foreign COLA, rate code based earnings on additional pay, Foreign COLA, Non & Foreign Post Differentials, etc.

The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:

1. Configure the Company Table for the Rounding Rules for FLSA - Set Up HCM>Foundation Tables>Organization>Company

2. Create paysheets - Payroll for North America>Payroll Processing USF>Create and Load Paysheets>Create paysheet

3. Ensure there is Night Differential, Sunday Premium Pay, etc. - Payroll for North America>Payroll Processing USF>Update Paysheets>By Payline

4. Run the payroll calculation - Payroll for North America>Payroll Processing USF>Produce Payroll>Calculate Payroll

5. View the paycheck that does not show the expected results - Payroll for North America>Payroll Processing USF>Produce Payroll>Review Paycheck
