Symptoms
When a student has multiple 'National ID Type' values defined in Campus Community, the wrong value is being displayed on the 'View Financial Aid Status' page, and the 'View Financial Aid Summary' page.
The NID value displayed appears to be the 'NID Type' that alphabetically comes first instead of using the Primary value defined in Campus Community.
The other pages displayed the correct student’s SSN:
- Financial Aid>Federal Application Data>Correct ISIR Records
- Financial Aid>Awards>View NSLDS Loan Data
- Financial Aid>Awards>View by Date
- Financial Aid>Pell Payment>Manage Pell Payment
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
- Navigate to Set Up HRMS > Foundation Tables > Personal > National ID Type. Select Country = USA. Add a NID type of 'ERR' and then save the page.
- Navigate to Campus Community > Personal Information > Add/Update Person. Add the National ID Type of ERR. Make sure that the 'Social Security Number' value is checked as 'Primary'.
- Now navigate to Financial Aid > View Financial Aid Status. The wrong NID value is displayed.
