Will There be Changes to Terminology on Financial Aid Self Service Pages - Such as With Current References to 'Award' - to More Closely Match Current Federal Guidelines? (Doc ID 3056113.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 28, 2024

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Financial Aid - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Recent regulations, such as the FAFSA Simplification Act and the Consolidated Appropriations Act (CAA), emphasize more accurate terminology for financial aid wording - a common example being the recommendation to use "financial aid offer" instead of "award" or "letter". Here is one such reference:  https://fsapartners.ed.gov/knowledge-center/library/electronic-announcements/2021-10-28/issuing-financial-aid-offers-what-institutions-should-include-and-avoid

Are there any plans to deliver changes to the labeling on some of the various Financial Aid Self Service pages, such as where they reference 'award'?
