ABMGT: Administrator Comments on One Employee's Extended Absence Request Carry Over to Those of Another Employee (Doc ID 3057349.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 11, 2024

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Absence Management - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The comments entered by an Absence Administrator for one employee's Extended Absence get copied to the request of another employee.

Steps to reproduce (using Oracle/PeopleSoft sample employees).

  1. Employee 1 navigates Self Service>Time>Extended Absence and enters a request for himself.
  2. Employee 2 also navigates Self Service>Time>Extended Absence and enters a request for herself.
  3. Admin then navigates to Administer Extended Absence (via Navigation Bar- Global Payroll and Absence Management>Payee Data>Maintain Absences>Administer Extended Absences, or via the Workforce Administration home page, Absence Administration/Administer Extended Absence tiles).
  4. Access either event for approval, enter comments and approve.
  5. When the Admin accesses the other event, the comments from the other employee's event are displayed.
  6. NOTE: This also occurs if the Admin is submitting the requests on behalf of the two employees (or several in one session).  Whatever comments he enters on one is visible on the other(s).
