Why is a Waiver Applying to More Than one Career if a Student is Enrolled in Multi-Careers? (Doc ID 3057657.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 19, 2024

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Student Financials - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

A course fee is created and a waiver group is attached to the course fee.

The student is in a dual career and is term activated in both careers.

For Career PGRD, course 1 is set up with the waiver group and for Career NAWD, course 2 does NOT have a waiver.

When tuition is calculated for the student, career PGRD calculates the course fee and the waiver. The course under career NAWD calculates just the course fee.

The student drops course 1 under the PGRD career, and the same course is added under the career NAWD.

Tuition is recalculated and for career PGRD, both the course fee and the waiver were reversed, the new course fee and waiver was calculated for the NAWD career, but the waiver from the dropped course was re-applied for the PGRD career.

Why is the waiver for course 1 still being applied for the PGRD Career?
