After Installing BUG 33386615 From Pum 32 Changes to the ACAD_ORG_TBL to Allow the Assignment of Instructors by Subject Will Not Work When There Are Multiple Effective Dated Rows in the ACAD_ORG_TBL (Doc ID 3059383.1)

Symptoms

 If a new effective dated row is added to the ACAD_ORG_TBL to assign instructors by subject, that most effective dated row is not being used when assigning  Instructor Advisors to approved courses in the subject area.

Inactivating the older effective dated rows on the ACAD_ORG_TBL does not  appear resolve the issue since the RowInit and Fieldchange PeopleCode on the PS_INSTR_CRSE tbl is not looking for an status of active or the max effective dated row.
 
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Add a new effective dated row at
Set Up SACR > Foundation Tables >Academic Structure > Academic Organization Table to assign the instructor by Subject to the ART org in Demo.

2. Go into correction mode and modify the EXISTING row for Anthopology at Set Up SACR > Foundation Tables >Academic Structure > Academic Organization Table to assign the instructor by Subject.

3. Assign an instructor to Art at Curriculum Management > Instructor/Advisor > Instructor/Advisor Table go to the Approved Courses tab and note there is no option to assign the subject.

4. Assign an instructor to Anthropology Curriculum Management > Instructor/Advisor > Instructor/Advisor Table and note that you can assign by subject on the Approved Courses tab.

5. Inactivate the original effective dated row at Set Up SACR > Foundation Tables >Academic Structure > Academic Organization for ART.

6. Attempt to assign an instructor to the ART org and note that subject is still not available on the Approved Courses tab.

7. Delete the original effective dated row for Art at Set Up SACR -> Foundation Tables ->Academic Structure -> Academic Organization.

8. Attempt to assign an instructor to the ART org and the Art subject under the Approved Courses tab and note you can .
