Symptoms
When pinging the Search Instance Properties Host Name the following error is displayed:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Log into Peoplesoft.
2. Navigate to Peopletools > Search Framework > Administration > Define Search Instance.
3. Ping the Host name under "Search Instance Properties".
4. Observe the error message.
