EGL9.2:Journal Unposted In A Closed Period

Symptoms
The GL_JP process unposts journals in closed period.
Steps to Replicate:

1.Check the Open Periods for GL and BU
Set Up Financials/Supply Chain > Business Unit Related > General Ledger > Open Periods > Open Period Update
2.Created a new Journal with current date and Edited Successfully and posting the Journal through Online process
General Ledger > Journals > Journal Entry > Create/Update Journal Entries
Edit and Post drop down list
Journal Id created and Posted 0000000767
3.Using Copy Journal feature, creating a new Journal and a reversal Journal with specified date.
General Ledger > Journals > Journal Entry > Copy Journals
Use new Journal date as 06/11/2024 and Reversal Journal with specified date 06/19/2024
4. Backdated Journal created -06/11/2024 - and reversal Journal with Current date - 06/19/2024 -
General Ledger > Journals > Journal Entry > Create/Update Journal Entries
5. After Editing and Posted this Journal 0000000768, it created a new reversal Journal as per specified reversal date
6. Open the Reversal Journal created and Post it.
7. Marked the Original Journal id 0000000768 to Unpost with different date
Note: Just Marked the Journal to unpost, but not ran the journal Posting( GL_JP) process .
8. Enable Unpost Different Date
Set Up Financials/Supply Chain > Business Unit Related > General Ledger > General Ledger Definition
9. Marked the Original Journal id 0000000768 to Unpost with different date
Note: Just Marked the Journal to unpost, but not ran the journal Posting( GL_JP) process .
10.Closed the June (6) period for the Business unit US001
Set Up Financials/Supply Chain > Business Unit Related > General Ledger > Open Periods > Open Period Update
11. Now enabled the trace and going to run the Journal Posting process
PeopleTools > Process Scheduler > Process Scheduler Processes
12. Journal 0000000768 which was marked to Unpost is available in the GL_JP run control page
General Ledger > Journals > Process Journals > Post Journals
13. Posting process completed with 2 Journals Unposted
The GL_JP should not unpost the journal in closed period. An error message must occur.
