EPY: CAN - CP2 Refund Is Not Calculated Correctly After Total Gross Balance Adjustment. (Doc ID 3061166.1)

Symptoms

CP2 refund is not calculate correctly after CAN_TAX_BAL Total Gross adjustment.

Steps to replicate the issue

        Issue #1:

1.Select an employee with who reached the max CPP & CP2.

2. Manually calculate the CPP & CP2 Amount to be adjusted from the Tax Balances table.

3. In the Update Employee Tax Data, click Add a New Row and enter Effective Date and Months Subject to CPP.

4. Update Tax Balances for CPP:
    a. Navigate to Payroll for North America > Periodic Payroll Events CAN > Balance Adjustments > Taxes
    b. Enter the information in Adjust Tax Balance 1, then click Save
    c. In the Adjust Tax Balance 2, Taxable Gross, Adjustment Month-To-Date field, enter the value calculated in step 2
    d. Click Save
    e. Review Tax Balance after update.

5. Create Off-Cycle Cheques:
    a. Navigate to Payroll for North America > Payroll Processing CAN > Create Online Cheque > Create Online Cheque
    b. Calculate and Save.

6. Validate CPP & CP2 refund.
    CPP Amount calculated the refund as expected, but CP2 did not.

Issue #2:

1. Select an employee who have not reached the max CPP, therefore no CP2 amounts.

2. Manually calculate the CPP & CP2 Amount to be adjusted from the Tax Balances tabl3.

3. Navigate to Payroll for North America -> Employee Pay Data Can -> Tax Data -> Update Employee Tax Data Update Employee Tax Data, click Add a New Row and enter Effective Date and Months Subject to CPP.

4. Update Tax Balances for CPP:
    a. Navigate to Payroll for North America > Periodic Payroll Events CAN > Balance Adjustments > Taxes
    b. Enter the information in Adjust Tax Balance 1, then click Save
    c. In the Adjust Tax Balance 2, Taxable Gross, Adjustment Month-To-Date field, enter the value calculated in step 2
    d. Click Save
    e. Review Tax Balance after update

5. Update Tax Balances for CP2:
    a. Navigate to Payroll for North America > Periodic Payroll Events CAN > Balance Adjustments > Taxes
    b. Enter the information in Adjust Tax Balance 1, then click Save
    c. In the Adjust Tax Balance 2, Taxable Gross, Adjustment Month-To-Date field, enter the value in step 2.
    d. Click Save
    e. Review Tax Balance after update.

6. Create Off-Cycle Cheques:
    a. Navigate to Payroll for North America > Payroll Processing CAN > Create Online Cheque > Create Online Cheque
    b. Select the employee and Pay End Date
    c. Select Yes to Paysheet Creation, and No to TL Load Messages
    d. Click OK to Pay in Row 1, and Click One-Time Taxes
    e. In the One-Time Taxes, enter CPP Refund
    f. In the One-Time Taxes, click Add a New Row, enter CP2 Addition, click OK
    g. Click Save and Calculate.

7. Validate CPP & CP2 refund. CPP Amount calculated as expected, but CP2 did not.
