EEX 9.2: A “Do You Want To Save Your Changes?” Warning Message Is Triggered by the System When Leaving the Fluid My Wallet Entry Page, Even When No Changes Were Made. (Doc ID 3062590.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 08, 2024

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise FIN Expenses - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After a PeopleTools upgrade from Version 8.59 to Release 8.61.06, the system has started triggering an "Do you want to save your changes" Warning Message when trying to leave the Fluid My Wallet page, even when no actual changes have been performed.

REPLICATION STEPS:

1.- Log into the FSCM Online Application as an Expenses User.
2.- Go to the Employee Self-Service Fluid Homepage.
3.- Click on the Expenses tile.
4.- Click on the My Wallet tile.
5.- Confirm that there are Credit Card transactions getting displayed.
6.- Without modifying anything, click on the Home icon.
7.- PROBLEM: The system throws the Warning Message.

To gather more information concerning this scenario and its related problem, refer to the available Replication Steps PDF Document here linked containing the complete configuration and the replication steps necessary to reproduce the problem.

WARNING MESSAGE:

" Do you want to save your changes?

Click Yes to go back and save, No to discard your changes. "

The new system behavior is generating confusion amongst the Users, because even though no changes have been performed, such Warning Message brings doubt, that maybe something got indeed modified.

Such Warning Message should only be triggered if indeed, an update has taken place, and the User has not saved the changes, otherwise, it should not take place.

NOTE: In the images/screenshots/examples mentioned and/or the attached document, user details / company name / address / email / telephone number represent a fictitious sample (based upon made up data used in the Oracle Demo Vision instance). Any similarity to actual persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental and not intended in any manner.
