EAP 9.2: Error "Error “Duplicate Supplier Identification Number Has Been Detected In Registrations --See Registrations xxxxxxxxxx. (7025,914) “ Shows Up When Saving An Existing Supplier That Has Same Tax Identification Number As In A Denied Registration (Doc ID 3062847.1)

Symptoms

When two supplier registrations were submitted for approval with same Tax Identification Number (TIN), the approver approved one of the registration and denied the other. When editing the newly created supplier, below error shows up.

Error:
Duplicate Supplier name has been detected in Registrations .See Registration xxxxxxx(7025,910)


Steps:
1. Go to Set Control Supplier page and enable the Duplicate Supplier checking for ID Type - Tax Identification Number(TIN).
     Set Up Financials/Supply Chain > Product Related > Procurement Options > Suppliers > Set Control-Suppliers
2. Update Active as Reject and Inactive as Warning.
3. Go to Set Up Financials/Supply Chain > Product Related > Procurement Options > Suppliers > Supplier Request System Setup and update "*Check Duplicate IDs"  as "Warning".

4. Enter a supplier registration with TIN 123451234.
5. On another browser, start a new supplier registration with same TIN 123451234.
6. Submit both the supplier registrations
7. Go to Edit Registration page and submit both the registrations.
8. Login as approver and approve first registration.
9. Deny the second registration with Duplicate reason code.
10. Open the new supplier created and update additional name.
      Suppliers > Supplier Information > Add/Update > Add/Update Supplier
11. Save the page to see the error.
