Symptoms
Preferred first name is populated with legal first name when a different field is changed in the Name page.
Replication Steps:
1) Search for Name Format Types or Navigate to Set Up HCM > Foundation Tables > Personal > Name Format Type.
2) Select PREF_FIRST_NAME in the above page.
3) Navigate to Employee Self Service> Click Personal details Tile > Click Name Tile.
4) Change the Name Prefix to Dr. (or change any field other than Preferred First Name).
5) The Preferred First Name field is populated with the legal First Name instead of changed name.
