SCC_COMMGEN Process Run for All Organizations Fails to Complete But Completes Successfully When Run for One Organization (Doc ID 3064209.1)

Symptoms

A Comm Gen process for an organization communication runs successfully when processing one organization. Running the same Comm Gen for all Organization ID's fails to complete.  Review of the application engine log file confirms the process stops on the Generating XML Data Sources for Communications step.  The expectation is since the Comm Gen runs successfully for one organization id at a time, the process should run successfully when submitted for all organization ID's.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Campus Community, Communications, Communication Generation;
  2. Select a run control;
  3. Populate the run control for All ID's;
  4. Submit the process to the process scheduler;
  5. Note the process hangs in the process scheduler monitor;
  6. Review the application engine log file and note the process has stopped on a step.
