E-PUM: While Doing PUM Automated Merge, Fetch DB Information Is Failing With Error 'Connection failure. Please verify Hostname and Node name'

Symptoms
When doing PUM Automated Merge, defining the database using the 'Administer Metadata' fails with below error on PIA popup.
Connection failure. Please verify Hostname and Node name
The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:
1. Log into PUM.
2. Click on the Administer Metadata tile.
3. Click on Define Database and enter the details, click Fetch DB Information.
4. See the message saying - 'Connection is successful' and click Ok.
5. Observe the error message - ' Connection failure. Please verify Hostname and Node name '.
